A sparkling Chatsworth House
15 February 2008
Chatsworth House is one of the most prestigious stately homes in the UK. As part of their recent refurbishments of 2007, we were invited to provide lighting advice and guidance with a view to devising a lighting scheme for the Carriage House restaurant located in the beautiful 18th century Grade I listed stable block.
Having presented our scheme to the Duchess of Devonshire and leading Estate officials, we were delighted to be commissioned to carry out the full lighting scheme installation working within the brief of ‘making the space sparkle’.
Also working within the strict Grade I listed renovation constraints, we implemented a large range of lighting that included track mounted spotlights and LEDs that work from a complex lighting control system. In addition, the three large wooden chandeliers that were already present in the space were refinished in a gold effect.
Completed in 2007, this project has been one of the most prestigious to date and we look forward to working with the Estate on further exciting projects in the future.
